Melastoma malabathricum - Blue Tongue
SHRUB 50CM TO 3 METRES TALL
Rounded rainforest shrub, attractively veined foliage with leaves to 12cm long, mauve-purple 5cm flowers in summer & sweet edible fruit which will the tongue blue! Long flowering and hardy but frost tender. Attracts Miskin Jewel butterfly.
