Dodonaea viscosa subsp. spatulata - Hop Bush

TREE 2 TO 4 METERS TALL

Hardy, upright & bushy shrub with narrow, glossy foliage. Tiny wind-pollinated flowers in spring are followed by bright pink/red papery seed pods that attract birds. The leaves were used in bush medicine to treat tooth-ache, cuts & stings. Responds well to pruning.
